Violence Introduction

Mahatma Gandhi once said, "I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent." This means that the bad things only do good for a short period of time, but the bad stays there forever. this quote would be agreeable because why would you do bad to make things look good, if the bad things will last forever? This can clearly be seen in the book "I boy." for example in this book, the main character is pretty much against violence but then he turns into a secret agent to search and destroy someone, but also he doesn't really want to do that because he said once in the book that violence is never the answer. On most other people's opinion, violence is seriously never the answer.
